Our annual meeting will be held on Monday, March 21st. It has been two years since we have gotten together to celebrate the accomplishments of our Society. Our great plans for our 50th anniversary were dashed by the arrival of COVID, but it has not overcome our Society.
We have moved our dinner back to the York Springs Fire Hall where we have lots of space to spread out. Dinner, catered by Hughes Meats and Deli, will be served at 6:30 p.m. The buffet dinner will include your choice of stuffed chicken breast with gravy, green beans, mashed potatoes, apple sauce, rolls, drink and dessert. The cost for the event will be $20 per person.
Following dinner, we are very pleased to welcome “Alice Roosevelt”, a.k.a Mikele G. Stillman, to share her experiences with us. “Teddy Roosevelt’s 17 year old daughter made headlines from the day she arrived at the White House in 1901, until her death at age 96. Her long life in our nation’s capital made her a “living time capsule” of the events of the 20th Century. She was famous for networking, campaigning, lobbying and hosting fabulous dinners at her elegant home near Embassy Row.”
Reservations need to be to Elaine Gilbert by March 11th. The caterer requires confirmation of the number attending one week in advance. Please make payment in advance. There will be no refunds. Make plans NOW to attend! Bring a friend and celebrate the 52th Anniversary of our Society like it was the 50th!
